Fan VS. Player Edition. What are the differences?

If you are planning to purchase a football jersey, you will be faced with two distinct options: a Player jersey or a Fans jersey.

For a Fan jersey (left), it is generally recommended to choose your usual size , the one you wear every day.

On the other hand, for a Player jersey (right), it is advisable to choose a size larger than your usual size to ensure a comfortable fit.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A FANS AND PLAYERS FOOTBALL JERSEY?

At first glance, Player football jerseys and Fans jerseys look similar. They have the same logos, the same colors and look almost identical (especially when you only see them from a distance).
You may be wondering why there is such a big price difference since Player jerseys cost 45% to 70% more than a Fans version jersey especially in stores not at MDF MAILLOT DE FOOT.
Does this mean that Player jerseys are simply better? The short answer is no. The longer answer has to do with the purpose of the jersey itself.
The main distinction is whether the jersey is designed for on-field play or for normal wear .
Player jerseys are designed with the best technology and fabrics possible for the highest level of play. They are exactly the jerseys you see the players wearing on the field.
Fans version jerseys are made for a fan in the stands – with excellent materials for the highest levels of comfort and wear.
While Player football jerseys and Fans jerseys look almost identical, the difference comes in three main areas: cut, fabric and badges.

Fit

FANS:  These jerseys are designed for comfortable, everyday wear. The fit is more relaxed, allowing you to show your support in the stands or on the street. Unlike the Authentic Fit, this fit is more suitable for most body types, even those who haven’t been on the field for a while.

🙌🏽 It should be noted that the Fans version is the version ordered by 90% of our customers.

PLAYER:  These jerseys are designed with a cleaner, more athletic design for on-field play. The fitted cut ensures players perform at their best and leaves no loose fabric “within reach” of an opponent who likes to get their hands on it.

Fabric

Player Edition =>

Fans Edition =>

FANS: These jerseys are still made from a very breathable fabric, although there is not as much ventilation (i.e. small holes in the fabric). These jerseys are not as stretchy and are made from a heavier, weather-resistant fabric for added durability.

PLAYER: The most striking feature that distinguishes the Player jerseys is the type of fabric used. It is incredibly lightweight and stretchy, promoting freedom of movement. This material is specially designed to be breathable, with microscopic perforations allowing for better ventilation. In addition, the Player jersey’s ability to wick away sweat ensures that moisture is kept away from the player’s body, while the fabric dries quickly.

Badges

Fans – These jerseys feature the same logos and crests as the authentic jerseys, however, they are embroidered , giving them a heavier look and feel.

Player – The badges on authentic jerseys are heat-sealed. This creates a more consistent look and is lighter for players on the pitch.

Now that you’ve discerned the difference between a Player jersey and a Fans jersey, all you have to do is determine which style and comfort you prefer. Do you prefer a relaxed, comfortable fit for the stands? Or do you opt for a lightweight, fitted jersey similar to the one worn on the pitch? The decision is yours.
